I am so excited to be teaming up with 11 of my favorite blogging friends to share fun Valentine party themes for kids! Sweet Summer, from She Leaves A Little Sparkleinvited us to create a cute and fun Valentine party themes to share. And, it is easier than you might think! If you’re joining me from Eleven Gables, welcome! Isn’t Emily amazing? She is just a doll and everything she does is beautiful! I always love to come up with a few fun Valentine party themes for my kids each year. To me, Valentine’s Day is all about getting crafty, so creating a Valentine’s Day party built around crafting lovey-dovey notes and cute handmade gifts for friends and family was a no brainer! Handmade valentine cards are something that everyone loves to receive, and they are super fun to make. Invite the neighborhood kids over, turn your family room into valentine card making central and let the kids go to town. I filled our Valentine party table with crafty items like rubber stamps, scissors, stickers, markers, twine and red and pink embellishments that all doubled as cute Valentine decorations. Some pretty, patterned scrapbook paper and colorful rolls of washi tape in reds and pinks made for cute centerpieces.

I am IN LOVE with this party backdrop. You can always follow this tutorial to learn how to make your own, and you can find them pre-made in all kinds of colors and themes.

PARTY DECORATION TIP: Be sure to check your local craft store for Christmas clearance items. Many of those Christmas craft items that are on super sale, are red and can be used for Valentine party themes just as easily. I found sets of the paper rosettes in different shades of red for 60% off. They made a perfect back drop for the party table. I only had to purchase one set of pink and heart patterned fans at regular price (with a 40% off coupon!) to mix in with the clearance rosettes to make it look like it was meant to be a Valentine decoration. (The red Christmas clearance crafty items work well for patriotic holidays as well. You can also purchase the green Christmas clearance supplies for upcoming holidays like Easter and St. Patrick’s Day too.)

Another fun idea for your crafty Valentine’s day party: Bake your favorite sugar cookie recipe, then use “X” and “O” cutters to pass along smooches and hugs. Let the kids frost them with white and pink icing, and top with colorful sprinkles and sanding sugars.
