GALENTINE’S DAY SLEEPOVER
Nothing says Galentines Day more than a sleepover. I love hosting this every year at one of our homes or a cute hotel room! Grab some cute decor, sweet treats, champagne and have fun with it. Candid moments are the best moments!
PRETTY IN PINK PICNIC
Ok, you gals know I LOVE an extra and over-the-top picnic. You can make this as simple or as elaborate as you would like, simply grab some pink decor, set-up a Galentines Day themed picnic in your home or outdoors and wear a cute outfit to match. Check out my decor picks here.
CUTE ONVERSATION HEARTS
Conversation Hearts are one of the easiest photo shoot props for Galentines Day! They can be found at just about every drug store, grocery store or on Amazon. All you need is a solid-colored table cloth, floor or rug. Then add some conversation hearts, lay down and have a friend or your tripod over you to shoot from above!
MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL
This was my FAVORITE photo from my Galentine’s Day Shoot & it is SO easy! All you need is a cute mirror, some flowers and lipstick! I set the mirror on a pink table cloth, added some flowers around the edges and drew on the mirror in red lipstick. had my tripod set-up behind me, so it caught the reflection in the mirror. The result was amazing & would have been even better on a day with blue skies (Houston, weather sadly!)
FESTIVE FLOWER WALL
Who doesn’t love the flower wall trend? This backdrop was super easy. I used a pink table cloth as the base and added flowers in rows using push pins.
YOU HAVE A PIZZA MY HEART
Pizza is my favorite prop and one of my favorite foods! In the spirit of heart-shaped foods, make a heart-shaped pizza at home with this awesome pizza pan or order in a specialty pizza from your favorite local pizza jaunt! Add a pink backdrop like this one and you have a super cute photo op!
BRING ON THE BALLOONS
Balloons are such an easy prop and a cute addition to a Valentine’s day outfit! I typically use these over and over again for different photo shoot ideas: walking around with them in a cute outfit, creating a cute Galentine’s sleepover set-up or a Galentine’s day party with your friends!
ANGEL BABY
If you’re celebrating yourself this Galentines like I am, then scheduling a photo shoot with angel wings will make you feel like the queen that you are! I loved having my Victoria’s Secret Angel moment to get all dolled up for a photoshoot to celebrate ME! You can order your own angel wings on sites like Etsy or look for photoshoot studios in your city that offer this as a prop!
GIANT TEDDY
A giant teddy is such a cute Galentines day prop for photoshoots. A local photo studio had one for me to use or you can always purchase your own on a site like Amazon.
LET THEM EAT CAKE
Cakes, cookies, candy and sweet treats scream Galentine’s day! Pick up a cute cake or desert from your local bakery or grocery store and snap some cute shots with the girls celebrating, cutting into the cake, or getting messy with the icing!
BATHTUB BEAUTY
Get creative with a bathtub at your home or a hotel! Fill it with balloons or flowers and wear a cute outfit for some fun candid shots!
BRUNCH BABES
I love a good brunch and Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite brunch holidays! Creating heart-shaped breakfast foods is super easy and you can get creative with it! TULLE’IN AROUND
Tulle is a great photo prop to add depth to your photos and create a soft aesthetic for portraits. Simply grab some pink tulle and wrap it around your camera lens. Secure it with a hair tie or a rubber band and make sure there is a clear hole with no tulle in the center to get this soft edge effect!
