New Post: The 19 best Valentine’s Day gifts for boyfriends - https://lnkd.in/dC3cFPFs - Whether you just started dating or you’re practically engaged, shopping for the perfect Valentine's Day gift for your boyfriend can be a surprisingly tricky task. How much should you spend? Are you going for a big romantic gesture or keeping it simple? And what about the classic "we’re not doing gifts this year," but you still "surprise" each other with gifts anyway thing? Seriously, though — what is that? SEE ALSO: Best gift ideas for people in long-distance relationships If you're stuck in a gift-giving rut, our best advice is to zero in on the items he uses daily and the topics he brings up whenever you hang out — these are easy jumping-off points for V-day gift ideas that'll make him feel seen. (Oh, he just mentioned in passing that his wallet's falling apart? Get him a really nice leather one that he'd never splurge on himself. Stuff like that shows you've been paying attention.)Below, we've rounded up a list of Valentine's Day gift ideas for boyfriends that say "I love you and I get you" without being totally cliché. Spoiler alert: There will be no mention of whiskey stones or beard oil. - -----------------------------------------------------Download: Stupid Simple CMS - https://lnkd.in/g4y9XFgR

New Post: 23 Valentine’s Day gifts your husband won’t see coming - https://lnkd.in/dgWcyNCC - Love it or tolerate it, Valentine’s Day is the ideal time to right the gift-giving wrongs of the holidays. Were you sure your husband would love that faux-vintage turntable, only to find out later that what he really wanted was a weighted blanket? Did you misinterpret his months of hint-dropping about homebrewing, ponying up for the perfect craft beer kit, when he was actually talking about kombucha? The best Valentine's Day gifts for husbands give you a second chance to get it right. SEE ALSO: The best gifts for men: Creative ideas for every type of guy In your defense, nailing the perfect gift for someone as close to you as a spouse is a lot harder than it sounds, especially when you've been together for a while and exhausted your best ideas. Instead of opting for something cliché or overly trendy, spend some time reading between the lines of his interests and hobbies. If he's a movie buff with a Regal Unlimited subscription who uses Letterboxd like his personal journal, for example, grab some cool merch from the A24 Shop. Don't be afraid to get hyper-niche.With that in mind, we’ve come up with a list of Valentine's Day gift ideas for over a dozen different kinds of husbands. Some are luxe versions of everyday items, while others are special-occasion splurges. A select few are gifts that the both of you can enjoy — because healthy relationships are all about sharing, right? - -----------------------------------------------------Download: Stupid Simple CMS - https://lnkd.in/g4y9XFgR

Happy Valentine's Day! Since this platform is professional focused, I'll reach back to my environmental engineering days for this public service announcement: Helium is a non-renewable resource. Completely non-renewable. Completely. In fact, it is vital for medical uses and the local grocery store fills and releases balloons frequentlyConsider passing on those helium balloons for something more sustainable. Balloons can filled with alternatives in the comments. Consider buying something that helps the environment or climate change. Consider writing your local grocery or dollar store who doesn't fill on demand (see 'em float and falling right there in the floral dept). The future is a great gift to give.

We're not always looking and taking in everything consciously we have, we have some filters, and we have some things that we're gonna ignore. There was a solar eclipse here in California, apparently, there's a solar eclipse that happens about once a year, somewhere on this Earth. And I was like, "Oh, this is cool. Let me go check it out" And what's one thing you're not supposed to do with the sun? look directly at it. Right? So well, then how do you see the Eclipse? Which is the sun being covered up by the moon? If you're not supposed to look at the thing? And the answer is, that some special glasses and lenses filter out most of the harmful rays of the sun. So I got these glasses and when I put these on, I can't see anything, I can't see my own hand in front of my face. It's just it's just dark. But when you take this filter, and you look directly at the sun, what you see is only what you're meant to see, which is the shape of the sun and then getting close to the moon. It looks cool. What does this have to do with my life? And what it has to do with is if there's something in your life that maybe you want, but you're having trouble getting it might be you're taking in too much information, you might be allowing too much stuff to distract you, things like that. So you need to find your own version of the filter that allows you to see what it is that only matters and get rid of anything else.Want more of this? If, like me, you are hoping for something that only happens once in a blue moon, August is looking good."A blue moon is when there is a second full moon in a single month. The phrase 'once in a blue moon' is often used to describe a rare event, but the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration says there is a blue moon once every two to three years. The moon doesn’t turn the color blue during a blue moon, according to #NASA. However, the moon can take on a blue tint because of certain types of clouds or particles from volcanic ash and smoke in Earth’s atmosphere. On Aug. 30, the moon will be both a blue moon and a #supermoon: A #bluesupermoon. The last time there was a blue supermoon was in December 2009, according to website Time and Date AS. The next one will occur in August #2032.During the blue supermoon, the moon will come within 222,043 miles of Earth, which the Almanac says is exceptionally close. The supermoon will peak at about 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time. There is another meaning for blue moon, according to NASA. While each season, such as summer, typically has three full moons, sometimes there are four. The third of those four full moons is a blue moon."FYI: I'll be getting my personal Blue SuperMoon gazing in from #Savannah's #MoonRiverhttps://lnkd.in/gaEa6PvW

Sitting in my silent house, with no devices or motors humming, no music playing from the speakers, it occurs to me that electrical power, that stream of microscopic charged particles, is as sacred as any other elemental force of the universe. To use that force without thought or awareness, to waste that energy, is to disrespect one of the gifts of this earth. As essentially spiritual beings, awareness of and respect for what powers our lives seems to me a critical part of being human. (Read more on Practicing Terraphilia at the link below!)
